Wow for the price how can you go wrong. There is no way that I could build this for the cost of the completed unit.

Hooked up to a UBASS ( bass ukulele) and running on my choice of a 9V battery or 12 volt plug pack it makes an excellent headphone amplifier for playing an instrument which is naturally too quiet to hear without amplification. No overload or distortion even on the lowest notes. Using some old HANIMEX headphones rated at 600 OHMs

Great product but a bit misleading

Thank you for the LM386 Super Mini Amplifier board module circuit kit that arrived safely by post. I was however, a little bit alarmed to find that the kit itself was pre-assembled and soldered, rather than issued in component pieces as I thought it would have been. One of the items even listed in the kit's inventory is the IC circuit mount, so I felt sure that it was the sort of 'kit' that was assembled by the user. But all components including the IC chip were soldered direct to the board, and without the use of the IC circuit mount. Perhaps this could be made clearer from your online description. Also, no information was supplied with the constructed kit. What is the polarity of the tip/sleeve DC input socket? What wattage and ohms speaker will the speaker safely drive? Thanking you.
