Wireless HDMI Extenders & AV Senders
Wireless HDMI extenders allow HDMI audio and video signals to be transmitted from a source device to a TV, monitor or projector without running a long HDMI cable between the two locations. A typical wireless HDMI system uses a transmitter connected to the HDMI source and a receiver connected to the remote display.
Wireless HDMI AV senders are useful for home entertainment systems, offices, classrooms, conference rooms, digital signage and other installations where running HDMI cables is difficult or impractical.
Our range includes 1080p and 4K wireless HDMI extenders, point-to-point HDMI transmitter and receiver kits, multi-room systems and models with infrared (IR) remote control extension. Some systems support transmission over distances of up to 100m, depending on the model and installation conditions.
When choosing a wireless HDMI extender, consider the required resolution, transmission distance, line-of-sight requirements, number of receivers, latency and whether you need IR remote control or HDMI loop-through.
What Is a Wireless HDMI Extender?
A wireless HDMI extender is a transmitter and receiver system that sends HDMI audio and video wirelessly between an HDMI source and a remote display.
The transmitter connects to a device such as a media player, computer, gaming console, set-top box or Blu-ray player. The receiver connects to the remote TV, monitor or projector. The two units communicate wirelessly, allowing HDMI content to be displayed without a long physical HDMI cable.
This is particularly useful where installing a cable between rooms is inconvenient or where a cleaner installation is preferred.
How Does a Wireless HDMI Extender Work?
A typical wireless HDMI extender works as follows:
HDMI source → Wireless transmitter → Wireless connection → Receiver → HDMI display
For example:
Laptop → HDMI transmitter → wireless transmission → receiver → TV
The transmitter sends the HDMI audio/video signal to the receiver, which outputs the signal through HDMI to the display.
Some models also provide HDMI loop-through, allowing the original display to remain connected while the same source is transmitted wirelessly to another display. The AA6110, for example, includes HDMI loop output and IR remote-control extension.
