Test the USB output off any device with a USB port
Small, simple and extremely easy to use. Just plug the USB tester in to any USB a port and receive a real time voltage readout. Connect a device to the USB tester output to help monitor the voltage and current flowing out of the socket. The single LED segmented read out will switch between the voltage out and the current out every 5 seconds, eliminating any need to manually switch between either factor being tested.
Great for an array of products, from USB outputs off a PC, laptop, power supply, home charger, car charger and mobile battery banks to monitor the consumption of a smartphone, tablet, PC perpherials or any USB powered or rechargeable device.
Also great for projects and prototyping to ensure all things power out of a USB socket is what it should be, before connecting to any important device.

Simple but Brilliant
By: Mark B on 3 October 2022The simplest and easiest tool for monitoring USB ports / devices. Instantly confirms the USB voltage, and the current being used by a device. Red LED display is easy to read even when there is no light. Works transparently, so it can be left in line with the USB device to monitor the charging status.

Testing times
By: Pete on 15 March 2020Great little unit at a great price. Provides an easy to read display of volts and amps. Downside, the display is hard to read in strong light (eg with my camping solar panel in full sunlight). I'll buy a USB extension cord to overcome this. Overall good value and fast service from AED ;-D

A real time-saver!
By: David on 29 November 2018I bought this to test a suspect usb device - an RTL-SDR radio dongle. Not only can I tell that my USB hub is supplying the correct voltage (almost), but I also verified the device was drawing the right current (despite getting quite warm). This has saved me trying to return the radio just in case. These USB testers are invaluable for anyone working at a technical level with USB hardware.
