Detects flame or light source

Flame Detection Sensor Module is sensitive to the flame, but can also detect ordinary light. Usually used as a flame alarm, it detects a flame or a light source with a wavelength in the range of 760nm-1100 nm. Detection point of about 60 degrees, particularly sensitive to the flame spectrum. Sensitivity is adjustable, stable performance.

Specifications:

  • Operating voltage 3.3V-5V

  • Output a. analog voltage output b. digital switch outputs (0 and 1)

  • With a mounting screw hole

  • PCB size: 3cm * 1.6cm

  • Power indicator (red) and digital switch output indicator (green)

  • Comparator chip LM393 ,it is stable.

  • Flame detection distance flame test can be triggered within 0.8m, if the intensity of flame is high , the detection distance will be increased.

Pin Outs: 

  • + -- 3.3V-5V voltage

  • - -- GND

  • DO -- board digital output interface (0 and 1)

  • AO -- board analog output interface

  • On board, digital output interface can be directly connected with the microcontroller IO.

  • Please keep a distance with flame, high temperature maybe burn out the sensor module.

I was very impressed with the sensitivity of this sensor module. I found that it was also detecting body heat within a metre of the sensor and was also susceptable to either RF from other components in the circuit, or possibly feedback through wiring. I found that screening worked okay, so some wire gauze shielding might be called for in certain applications. I would sooner have a very sensitive sensor than the reverse situation. The adjustment screw on the potentiometer gave a degree of tuning for the operating environment. I hope to buy more of this item for a range of applications that I have in mind. Happy? Yes.
