Motor Timing and Temperature Guidelines

• Increasing motor timing boosts RPM, but also raises motor temps and lowers efficiency

• Always verify ESC programming and gear ratios before increasing timing

• Use appropriate monitoring tools to check motor temperature:

  • Infrared thermometer

  • HobbyWing LCD Program Box

  • WiFi Module + HobbyWing WiFi Link App

• If temperatures are excessive:

  1. Let the motor cool

  2. Lower timing or increase Final Drive Ratio (FDR)

  3. Re-test after a full pack
