Timing Adjustment Guidelines

The V10 G3 supports a wide range of mechanical timing adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune the power characteristics of your setup.

• Default Timing:

  • Stock Motors: 40°

  • Modified Motors: 30°

Increasing timing boosts RPM but also raises motor temperature and reduces efficiency.

Before Adjusting Timing:

• Ensure your ESC is properly programmed

• Higher timing typically requires a higher gear ratio (FDR)

• After adjustments, monitor temps using:

  • Infrared temp gun

  • Hobbywing LCD programmer

  • Hobbywing WiFi Link App (via smartphone)

If temps are too high after a full battery run, allow the motor to cool, reduce the timing or adjust your FDR, and test again.
