Timing & Setup Guidance

• Default Timing Settings

  • Stock: 40°

  • Modified: 30°

• Adjusting Timing
  Increasing timing boosts RPM but also raises temperatures and reduces efficiency. Before adjusting:

  • Ensure your ESC is properly programmed.

  • Higher timing usually requires a higher gear ratio (FDR).

  • Always monitor motor temps with:

    • Infrared temperature gun

    • Hobbywing LCD programmer

    • WiFi module with Hobbywing WiFi Link App

If temps exceed safe levels, let the motor cool, reduce timing, or adjust the gear ratio before running again.
