Does exactly what it's supposed to do !

I bought this device to allow me to transfer files from my Foxtel IQ hard drive to my computer (via a capture device) to then save to an external hard drive. If Foxtel enabled either the USB or the e-sata connection on their boxes (to allow the transfer to an external drive), then a device like this wouldn't be necessary. I tried it with a Roxio Game Capture Pro device . . . but it wouldn't work. But then I tried it with an Avermedia Game Capture Live device and it worked perfectly. There is a switch for "Copy/Auto" . . . but I have no idea what that's for . . . and the manual doesn't shed any light on it. It works . . . and that's all you need to know. :-)

The product works very well and does what it is designed to do. That said when I connected this item to my new IQ3 Box with Foxtel from Telstra I found a problem I did not have when I was using Foxtel's normal IQ Box with Foxtel TV. I am not saying the HDMI Splitter/Stripper is causing the problem I have (It may be the new IQ3 Foxtel Box) but as a Amateur Radio operator (Fully Licensed) whenever I operate my HF Transceiver on any HF Band our TV locks up (Did not do this prior to connecting the Splitter). Testing including fitting Low Pass Filters and RF Chokes is proceeding. Love the principle and operation of the Splitter/Stripper though.
