This is the Arduino module has a built-in 16 character by 2 line LCD display with backlight and an I2C interface adapter plate. Using only 7 IO ports, this allows other Arduino modules and sensors to be interfaced with the Arduino development board without the use of expansion boards. Arduino function library available for download.

- Has the backlight, and contrast to adjust potentiometer
- 4.4 line output
Connect I2C Serial LCD Module to Arduino UNO Development board as follow:
VCC to 5V
GND to GND
SDA to A4
SCL to A5
Then, Connect your Arduino UNO Board to your computer via USB Cable.

By: Stephen White on 1 November 2021I use a number of 2x16 LCD displays for various items, including a number of DCC train controllers. The I2C interface is a gem because it allows me to run the display in serial (only 4 pins). My latest use is a set of wireless texting units. They are reasonably priced, easy to install and have a low power consumption.

Arduino ProMini & 2x16 LCD
By: Stephen White on 9 January 2021ProMini is my PIC of choice. Powerful little engine that fills most applications (sometimes I use 2 in tandem etc). Very compatible with almost anything (transistors, logic gates, H bridge and much more). 2x16 LCD is compact and delivers a nice display. Serial or parallel working. Looking at using a Promini to do the work, and another to drive the LCD, communicating with a serial bus.
